Medieval Romania on Discovery Channel
Last night I saw some bits of a Dicovery Channel “documentary” about Dracula. The “researcher” came to Romania to “research” about that, using just Stoker’s book and an outdated map of the country. I was amazed by the lack of scientific objectivity and the excessive amount of cheap futile dramatization. I had this impression of the Discovery documentaries as being very superficial, but last night I had the opportunity of seeing the “americanization” of popular science in action. Blogger problems… again!
This morning I noticed that half of the sidebar in my Blogger template wasn’t loaded. I checked the template and the last part of the code was missing. I had to recover it manually as I didn’t have a fresh backup. I know, I know, I should switch to WordPress or something else (I discovered SPIP and Guppy recently), but when you get use to something you just don’t want to give up.
