I keep seeing this girl in some Romanian advertisements on TV… The latest is for the mobile phones retail chain Germanos. I know Elena Xing Ling (her father is Chinese) since she wanted to apply for our school, but she changed her mind (she wanted to try at the Academy of Economic Studies, but I don’t know if she did it). She changed her mind, it seems, and she is playing in a lot of TV ads. I was wondering how can a person change a carrier, a life, a path, just like that? How do you make that choice?

At the registration line at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, here comes an old lady, a secretary, smoking on the hallway, under the sign with „No smoking please”. She says: „Yep, you’re not allowed to smoke, but I’m an exception”.
