A crappy day in Bucharest = A double crappy day in general

I hop on the tram that’s just coming into the station. It stops at the next station and doesn’t want to resume its trip. It broke and, as usual in Bucharest, nobody is asking what’s the problem and driver doesn’t care about us. We all get off and wait for the trolleybus. The station is a little further and we walk in the rain quietly. In the meantime, the tram is repaired and continues the trip. Empty, as everybody is waiting for the trolleybus. The bus is coming but one of the doors doesn’t close. Next stop – the depot and the driver says he will stay there and wait for a mechanic to repair the door. Everybody gets off quietly. The next trolleybus is smaller and it’s already crowded.

At the bank… Four counters and only two clerks. One of them is screaming to an old man, to help him fill some forms. The old guy wants to withdraw 18.000 euros and leave 7.000 euros in his account. Or not? Because he hasn’t decided yet. And the line behind grows. After 30 minutes, I manage to withdraw the last money from my account. But it’s dollars! So I have to stay in another line to change them in RON. Another 10 minutes.

I can’t get on the tram that’s coming because there are no traffic lights in that crossroad and I can’t cross the street – too many cars. I know that it will take at least 10 minutes to the next tram so I have a coffee at a coffee shop across the street. Three trams are passing by in 10 minutes. I wait in the station for 10 more minutes and the tram comes. The guy sitting in front of me is having his lunch. He smells bad and he’s eating onions. He’s dropping the spoon on the floor (yes, the spoon!), he’s picking it up and he continues to eat.

I go inside the post office to pay the phone bill. After waiting in line for 5 minutes, the woman says that the computers “are broken”. Nothing can be done, everybody’s going home.

I can’t wait until tomorrow! What can happen?
