Kayla was talking about deadlines. Just take a look at this word: „dead-lines”. When you think about it, the word doesn’t motivate you at all, it’s like a menace, like the terror coming, like hell rising.
Let’s replace it with „cool-line” or „just-chill-line” and everything seems better.
I think deadlines are awful for those who don’t like doing those things. Because if you like what you’re doing, you will start doing it earlier and you won’t feel the pressure of deadlines.
Or maybe you like the subject so much you start doing it „really deep”, with research, philosophy and stuff, and you just get so tangled up in the research or the „beautifying” you realize you didn’t do the main component, and the deadline is near.
Or maybe you just find the subject too easy, or you are over confident and believe you can do it in one day: the day before the deadline. Or maybe some other deadlines come before and prevent you from really working at the assignment.
Trust me, I’ve been through all of these. The one mentioned by you being one of them, off course :)

i hate dead lines! although i dont have to deal with them a lot at work, but the word is just very restraining to me and restraining infuriates me alot.
i like your replacments of it, „cool-line” and „just-chill-line” sounds so much better :)
i forgot to add that what alex said is also very true, but the word is still infuriating :)
