The logic is simple: you earn money, you give a share to the Establishment. The more you earn, the more taxes you pay. The State considered that I earned too much in 2003 and I had to give back 11 million ROL. I had to pay 8 million ROL for 2004 (I have several jobs, in order to survive in Romanea). I had a small delay for the first installment and I payed some extra money. But I finally got everything fixed.
That’s why I don’t understand how a guy who was the manager of a soccer club didn’t pay the taxes. Why was he forgotten so many years? Didn’t he receive the same official letters I received? Didn’t he have the money? If so, then why did he invest money?
I’m like a child, so I believe Becali just had some problems with the house waiting to be built, with the wife wanting an expensive dress, with the kids trying to get their daily dose, with the soccer players drinking too much. It wasn’t his fault.
Please, Mr. State, forgive Becali and please use my money to cover his debt. Plss?
I thought you pay taxes because the state takes care of you when you cannot like providing free education, pension and health insurence. I get upset at eveyr pay check when I see I got to pay taxes to Uncle Sam. Last year I got it all back but this year it is so complicated with working for many more people in different states. In any case Uncle sam wanted to tax my scholarship 14% (the equivalent of almost two-month rent) but I was advised to get on a special treaty and pay taxes in Romanea. When I called the Ro embassy about this specific provition on tax exemption on something beyond paycheck, I was kindly advised to ditch Uncle Sam and work my way around in Ro so that I never pay taxes!!! If I have to pay income taxes in Ro I will have to sell a kidney.
