Two days ago, a friend asked me to find two or three students willing to work as freelancers for the online edition of a well-known IT publication in Romania. I identified some students and I was on the verge of forwarding their details when they asked me about the salary. When I told them that it’s 5 million ROL per month netto (4 hours per day work), one of them didn’t want to apply anymore. I said to myself „Well, that’s reasonable”, but then I remembered that my salary as a teacher after a 7-year experience, is 7 million ROL. […]
I’m like a sponge: I absorb every dirt I encounter and I let it all out on the blog. I’m sorry for you, my readers, you have to bear with me. BTW, I’m still using a blackboard and chalk in the class. And I wipe it with an old dirty cloth. For every new academic year, I make the same requests: a whiteboard to use markers with it, repairing of the digital projector and some new keyboards and mice. Every year, there’s no answer. Oh, and I still am a butler.
