A tripping Vodafone 5

(Timp estimat pentru citirea acestui articol: 1 min)

The new brand was launched with fireworks and whistles. Some remarks:

– I was scared by the fact that most of the newspapers covered their first page with huge red ads, reminding of a great period in the history of RO. Luiza was also scared.
– I still don’t understand why Vodafone couldn’t continue to offer three daily SMS, since they had the budget of a small country to run such a big campaign. VERY IMPORTANT: Where is the new Web2SMS interface they were praising?
– I think users are not impressed by the „rebranding” process. Just tell them in stores that the new brand is Vodafone now. Or don’t tell them at all. They care about real services, cheap roaming tarriffs and a lot of free things.
– The new Vodafone portal sucks, compared to the Orange website and Self Care section. Since the rebranding took place, why is the MyX identification still hanging in some pages? While in the Orange Self Care you can whatever you want with your subscription and options (you can even block your SIM card), in the Vodafone portal you can only change your account password and your personal details.
– The Webmail interface is not functional.
– The Games section is not functional.

The list will be continued. I couldn’t find any good elements of this rebranding, sorry. BTW, will the access points and the cells be the same in the country or the British will come to the rescue?

G, what can I say? You are right. But I would like to add the thing that the show was incredible.
The music, the british sound how they called it was great. I liked the fact that they choose to do a show with electronic music – Lexicon Avenue and Futureshock – and not Heaven, Voltaj or who knows what other band…

The light show was the best ever. I never saw in Romania a show like that. Not evan at Tiesto. This was the best laser show ever!!!

And by the way…. as I was writing here I received a message from vodafone: because I am a loyal client, starting with may 14th, i will have a 10 minutes gift every month…. and my phone is around 160 lei every month…. so those 10 minutes are „very very really welcomed” for me :D

Teo, you did’nt see many laser shows, I was dissapointed after all the hype, I have seen in usa and uk far better, the lasers were apparently the best in the world, while they had great colours the beams did’nt go much further than the car park. I have seen a company in Romania do similar shows and I am sure at far less expence, I saw them also at an outdoor show with lasers that went very far into the distance ” no idea who they are but they had a white van with laser show on it ” Mayeb they arnt from romania but they made a great show.
