My mailbox is not secured in the apartments building where I live. I keep finding my mail opened, especially bills. I remember once a neighbor came with a bag of paper garbage to my door and asked me if I really wanted to throw away those papers from school. I said yes and asked her how did she know the garbage was mine. She said she looked in it, as she was curious. I guess old habits from the Securitate times are hard to forget. That’s reason no. 82.
Everytime the train conductor says „Please, step away from the yellow line” in the subway, there are people who are just looking with a superior attitude toward the beginning of the train, as if they said „So what if I’m not moving, will you kill me or what?”. I think this is the sort of resistance and protest Romanians are capable of. They voted several times for the same communist idiots, but they are confident enough to stay close to the moving train.
