I listened to the show with Andreea at Radiolynx. BTW, welcome in cyberspace, Radio Lynx!
The MP3 file should be listened to from minute 49, the beginning is just music and small talk. Really, people working at radio stations really don’t get it: you don’t have to talk when it’s not necessary. Oh, we really don’t care about the music when the show has a guest in the studio.
It was one of those shows where you have to let the guests speak and the moderators should just shut up and take notes. No offence, but adapt to the target public, Bobby, and do your documentation BEFORE the show, man!
Andreea used this occasion to promote: Overheard everywhere, The Bullet, TVmania etc. Thanks!
People chatting during the show were really interested if she lost her appetite for social networking in real world, since she started blogging. OK, it’s a dumb question and the answer is obviously NO, but how would do the person who asks that if the blogger answers „Yes, I’m really devastated by my Net addiction”? The conclusion is: think forward, think about the questions that the answer would generate.
None taken :)
I am still a beginner, I still need to correct a lot of things.
Of course, nobody likes to be told he didn’t do something well, but feedback is good in any form.
Anyway, what are you referring to when you say I was not prepared?
Just an example: you didn’t have the source for the news about the new paying system from Google.
Also, it’s not very good to tell Andreea she introduces herself as „Andressa”, since she’s not doing that.
I would have asked her:
– if you were to make a business out of your blogs, how would you do it?
– do you also read books in your spare time?
– do you still like writing with a pen on paper?
etc.
But, congrats for the idea! Do you intend to make it a podcast? I’d be interested in hearing other bloggers talk. I also like taking the MP3 file on the player and listening to it while walking.
So, take me wrong, it was just constructive criticism (I’m a teacher, what can I do… :-)
I agree on the GBuy thing. A more experienced radio person would have ignored the question or, at least, would have relooked for the info in a music break.
The problem was that I prepared everything at home and… no bookmarks at radio (my mistake, obviously).
More, I heard Andreea introducing herself as Andressa several times, but I might be mistaking. I might have only heard the „I am Andressa”, after she was saying” I am Andreeea” :)
Anyway, as an idea, I do not want to bring in the show especially bloggers, but almost everybody I know working in IT has a blog.
Thank you for your feedback. There is a lot of space for improvement and I could really need some suggestions. :)
I don’t know much about radio, the only course I got was in university. BTW, you have a very good voice, but Andreea has a „SSS” which can be corrected.
Last year, I participated at the International Congress of Sociology in Stockholm, with a paper about how discussion forums influence real-life decisions. I was so scared not to lose my presentation. So I took my laptop with me, two CDS, a floppy and a memory stick. I also printed the presentation in two copies.
It’s better to follow redundancy when storing the final product. When preparing for my courses, I always keep notes close to me. You never know when memory fails…
