Real estate crisis in Romania? Not really! 2

(Timp estimat pentru citirea acestui articol: 1 min)

If I were a foreigner with some money saved under the pillow, why would I invest in the real estate business in Bucharest? Because the TV show A place in the sun and the newspaper The Daily Telegraph say so, as quoted by Place Abroad:

– Returns of over 400% projected on investment over 10 years

– Bucharest is the no.1 city for property investments

– Recently voted the best place in the world to make money from property and currently property prices in the capital city, Bucharest, are far lower than many European capital cities

Yeah, but what about the harsh environment, the dogs and the people in the streets? I guess they seem smaller and insignificant when seen from a 30-storey building.

Ah, but when I read this feature in the last year’s archive of The Daily Telegraph, I feel like I’m in heaven. And then I wake up and ride the mud on the streets of my sweet Bucharest:

The wide boulevards, elegant historic buildings and vast squares are distinctly Parisian. The language, café culture and – follow any man’s gaze – ubiquitous striking women make you think of Italy.
