Teachers in my school aren’t members of any union (as far as I know).
That’s why we don’t make strikes. If a teacher decides to do that, that’s his/her decision. Of course, I don’t always agree with that attitude.
The salaries are small for university teachers (except for the professors, who earn at least 600 euros per months), but everybody is doing something extra to survive. I guess we will let others fight for our rights, but we don’t mind getting something in the end.
It’s sad. As far as I’m concerned, I will talk to students about the strike in the beginning of the class, but I will do the class. After all, it’s the students who will lose and I don’t want to punish them by not doing the class.
