Their perspective is that under communism, every bit of communication was censored, managed and ultimately state-controlled. And while they aren’t under communism anymore, their “spirits” (ie: emotions and state of mind) are still very much in that place.
I’ll need to renew my passport and get a Romanian visa, but I’m hoping that won’t be an issue. Fingers crossed!
