In the morning, the regular individual introductions. It seems I’m the only Romanian participant and there is also a Bulgarian girl. The others are from Russia, Central Europe and Central Asia.

What’s the difference between macro and micro sociology? But are anthropologists sociologists? Tough subjects, we get tired quickly.

I think I will attend two courses tomorrow in the SOC department, just to see how they teach a basic course in a certain field.

I already used the book stipend, I will pick up the books tomorrow. I was surprised to see that the bookstore actually ordered and received the books I proposed in the application form.

In the evening, the welcome dinner in the Tower Restaurant. Wine and meal. Traditional conversations that some Ph.D. candidates and a Romanian guy can do: what’s the difference between a soup and a „ciorba”? My simple question to a guy from Uzbekistan silenced everyone: „Why do you think that the Uzbek language has similiarities with Hungarian, since they belong to different language families?”

I can’t wait for the enemies to come after 2 in the morning and ruin my beauty 7-hour sleep.
