I’m sure you tried it, at least once. You focus with your eyes on a certain spot in the air or on the wall, or on the person in front of you, or on the floor… You put some of your senses in stand-by mode (especially the hearing) and you step beyond real life.
For some seconds, you are alone, you and your thoughts, though surrounded by a crowd. Projects are born this way, plans are made, a good slogan for your advertising campaign, a great idea for a gift to a friend or just checking your agenda.
A kind of a defragmentation process for the human being. The LCDs of the brain flicker continuously, while the RAM prepares your next mental info page.
Please be sure to unplug when finished and wake-up your hearing from the standby mode.
I am quite sure I could not live without it…It gave life to dozens on novel projects a long time ago. No it’s just a means to escape within my mind’s adventures for a short while.
Day dreaming is an activity I’m quite fond of… That’s where I get most of my ideas, too, no matter if they’re for new stories, new projects, contests, jobs or whatever. The problem is, sometimes you don’t have enough time to do it properly, so you just ‘pull the plug’ at the wrong moment. Like during classes, for instance :)
So true .. could never live without it …
