Reading the article in Cotidianul today, about Electric Brother, I remembered the days when I was going out to Web Club weekly. We were feeling good, we knew each other, it was the feeling that you have when you are part of something that just started.
I went there two years after and everything was different. Some teenagers were puking in the bathroom and some were taking shots of drugs. It seemed like the music disappeared from the club, it wasn’t important anymore.
We like being a part of „the beginning”, but we move to another place when „the beginning” becomes „the middle”, being afraid of „the end”.
You’re right: the music is not important anymore, it’s all about some kind of trend and so-called „attitude”. And I often felt like that about different places. Been called a snob for saying it ;) but the dissapointment remains.
