ACTUALIZARE
Lisa Marie Presley, pe blogul ei de la MySpace:
I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now .
He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be .
I also hope that anyone else who feels they have failed to help him can be set free because he hopefully finally is .
The World is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right .
Cred că ştia că e singur. Poate ştia că nu sunt de încredere toţi cei din jur. Ştia că are probleme de sănătate, pe unele le-a mărturisit în cartea sa acum mulţi ani.
Ştia că Demerol îl ajută cît de cît. A cîntat despre asta în piesa Morphine de pe albumul History:

Piesa are două părţi ritmate, sincopate, rupte de o bucată liniştită, mai melodică. Cred că acolo, în mijloc, voia el să stea cît mai mult.
Iată piesa Morphine:
Pe vremea aia, cînd Internetul era o necunoscută încă în România, mă întrebam ce este Demerolul. Pentru Michael, a fost o soluţie temporară. Cu suita de concerte care se apropia, cu toată lumea suflîndu-i în ceafă.
